  • 81% of respondents cited “lack of adequate pay increases” as a major issue for them and their co-workers.
  • 75% of respondents cited “below market wages” as a major issue for them and their co-workers.
  • 56% of respondents cited “pension security” as a major issue for them and their co-workers.
  • 50% of respondents cited “Increased workload/under staffing)” as a major issue for them and their co-workers. 

Issues not ranked as important

  • Only 34% of respondents cited “career development” as a major issue for them and their co-workers.
  • Only 25% of respondents cited “lack of training opportunities” as a major issue for them and their co-workers. 
  • Only 25% of respondents cited “poor supervision” as a major issue for them and their co-workers.
  • Only 24% of respondents cited “insufficient input on the job” as a major issue for them and their co-workers.

 To try to address the issues important to them in the workplace, AP’s tried the following

  • 83% of APs talk to their co-workers

  • 80% of APs talk to their supervisors

  • 37% of APs do nothing

  • 11% of APs talk to the union

  • 6% of APs file a complaint with the university

  • 4% of APs seek legal advice
