UPTE's HX bargaining team has presented UC with our proposal for compensation at the most recent session in Oakland. We have asked that all HX job titles be paid at market rate, across the board. We also ask that all medical centers, campuses, clinics, student health centers - wherever HX's work throughout the UC system - be compensated at the same rate.
We are asking for all years of relevant job experience be counted, not just years at UC. We have asked for a step plan in compensation. That it be 15 steps, starting your first year, and every year thereafter for the next 15 years. When moving up each step, there would be a 2% increase. At 15 years of UC service, there would be a longevity compensation, and every 5 years thereafter. We have asked that UC and UPTE meet each May to determine the current market rate, and increases at those market rates would be given each July.
There would no longer be individual job title equities, and all job titles will be evaluated yearly.

It lets UC know that we have the backing and support of our members, and that our members are demanding a decent and fair contract. - August 8, 9, and 10 - UC San Diego
- August 16, 17, 18 - UC Davis
- August 28, 29, 30, 31 - UCLA
