HX: May 15 Day of Action and May 21 Sympathy Strike with AFSCME
UC: Settle Our Contracts Now!

After more than a year of bargaining with HX and with Patient Care Technical workers in AFSCME, UC has yet to make a proposal that provides either retirement security or fair pay increases.

Come out on May 15 to show your frustration with UC negotiators and support for one retirement plan for all and pay increases. More information is at the UPTE website. Click Yes, I’ll be there! to attend.

AFSCME sent notice to the University that they will strike at the medical centers and student health centers on May 21 and 22. UPTE-CWA Health Care (HX) unit members will join in a sympathy strike on Tuesday, May 21. UPTE-CWA Research (RX) and Technical (TX) unit members will participate on their own time (i.e. before work, lunch, etc.). UC must be brought to understand that we will stand unified as workers in our demands for a fair contract.

UPTE has sent notice to the University so that they can take the necessary steps to ensure patient safety during the strike. We have identified essential personnel during the strike action so that no patient care will be endangered.

Our sympathy strike is for our patients, our families and our future!
UC: Settle our contracts now!
