On July 1, UPTE's research (RX) and technical (TX) contracts will have expired. On the same day, UC will impose its two-tier retirement plan on staff who do not have the protection of a union contract.
For RX/TX workers, UC's "best offer" is a divisive two-tier retirement plan and a 0% pay increase. That's right, UC proposes no steps and no cost-of-living increases for the life of the contract!
