Sign the Petition

We write to you today as the UC Regents prepare to meet next week to make decisions which will directly affect your future and the future of the university. The university decided in early January to return to in-person instruction in Fall 2021. This announcement was made without any specific plan on how to reopen campuses safely, and no mention of full staffing.

Now is the time for your voice to be heard.

Sign our petition and tell the University to use its resources to protect workers, students, and patients: upte.org/safehaven

Now is the time to demand that the university institute adequate safety measures to keep staff students and faculty safe.

Now is the time to demand that the university retain and restore workers, guarantee annual raises, and stop laying off the backbone of its workforce.

The University of California has a record-setting $140-billion in investments and reserves, far more than is necessary to see us through the COVID-19 pandemic to a safe recovery.

United, we fight for our jobs and defend our contracts – here’s how you can help: Forward this message to your coworkers and ask them to sign today.
